"Daddy dont Go"
Exploring this crumbling Patriarchy
Friday June 14th | 7 PM
Adelines Lab
3140 Martin Luther King Jr. Way

“DDG” is not a condemnation of men or masculinity, rather an invitation for everyone to join in a conversation. Through a multi-lens approach, we seek to build dialogue around our current cultural moments and where those fit into a much larger historic paradigm.
Together, let’s take an honest appraisal of all that has lead to this moment, from power dynamics to the intersectional impacts of patriarchy, and envision a culture of collective healing, rather than the compulsive consumption of short lived comforts.

RESURGENCE | GALLERY EXPOSED
Michelle Magdalena Maddox
"Resurgence is a collection of forms in nature, radiating beauty and timelessness. Using Big Sur as the canvas, Michelle Magdalena Maddox compares the purity of the female body with the hard, textured lines of a redwood tree to the complimenting softness of curves and a poppy flower. The collection is a moving journey through landscape and form, capturing raw elegance and emotion."

Cover Story in the Weekly
About Michelle Magdalena
Michelle Magdalena’s photography comes to terms with death—and life.
By Walter Ryce
In the open-beam ceilinged loft of her Pacific Grove home her father built, Michelle Magdalena Maddox – tall, crimson-haired, pale skin peppered by freckles – gracefully patters about. She sits in a chair, swivels, gestures expressively, gingerly touches her face, crosses her legs, spins ‘round, and aims her eyes as if taking a photo of the unfolding conversation about her craft – photography.... |
